Standard, Creative and Media Edition Features

The FxFoto Standard Edition cannot save collage documents files. Thus it cannot create or publish collage layouts and slide show presentations. Also, it cannot set the Collage Add Mode to place more than one photo on the same slide and so cannot create multi-photo collages. It cannot Burn CD-ROM collage and slide show presentations. Filter Effects other than White Balance and Sharpen With Unsharp Mask are not available in the Standard Edition. Also, Stamps, Color Brushes, Undo Brush, Arc Text and Photo Stitching are not available in the Standard Edition. Open Multiple Images command for adding many photos to a collage is disabled in the Standard Edition. Batch Operations multiple photos are disabled in the Standard Edition; All other FxFoto features are enabled in the Standard Edition, including importing, organizing, fixing, annotating, e-mailing and printing your digital photographs.

Only the Creative and Media Editions can create curved text effects (arcs, waves, corners or circular) and check text spelling; Only the Media Edition can transfer slide show presentations to movies, create Web Site photo and slide shows, create Flash MHT packages for emailing slide shows, and create PDF files from photos, layouts or slides shows. Only the Media Edition and Portable Pictures can lock folders and photos with optional passwords.

System Requirements

Minimum system requirements are Windows 98 and a Pentium PC or the equivalent with 256 MB memory and an 800x600 full or high color display. FxFoto requires Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows Vista, or Windows 7. FxFoto does not support older versions of Windows including Windows 95 and NT. FxFoto supports MMX for faster display and so at least a Pentium II or equivalent is recommended. 512 MB of memory or more (1000MB or 1GB on Vista and Windows 7) is also recommended .

FxFoto can record photos and presentations directly to CD-ROM using Windows XP or better. Separate CD recording software my be needed with older versions of Windows.

While the FxFoto Media Edition can create VCD/SVCD/DVD movies, separate CD/DVD recording software is required to record MPEG movies to disc and is not included with FxFoto. The software bundled with many CDR drives must be upgraded to record MPEG movies. A DVD player compatible with VCD/SVCD and recorded CDR/DVD discs is required.

FxFoto uploading to some online printing and sharing services may require that that you upgrade Microsoft's Internet Explorer to Version 6 or better if you are using a version of Windows prior to XP. Windows 2000 may need Service Pack 4 with 128 bit SSL encryption to support uploading to some online services.

FxFoto Portable Pictures requires a U3 Smart Drive. It can only be installed and used on USB flash disks that carry the "U3" logo.

Purchased FxFoto registrations must be activated over the Internet. To activate the registration, you must have access to the Internet or a Web Browser, but not necessarily on the computer where FxFoto is installed.
